I wrote about Michael Jackson the other day, pretty much of a rant, because I think he did what he was accused of. But I was talking to a friend from church after a cookout Sat. night, and though she had pretty much come to the same conclusion, she said she thinks Michael had left the door open to God--that's how I'm putting it. She said God is a God of the Eleventh Hour, that he did believe, and when he sees him face to face he's going to turn around and get the right attitude. He was around all those people from birth on, who abused and enabled him in return for his contribution to their wallet and power, fame. With all those people strangling him and using him, and all the temptation, it was pretty well impossible to turn out otherwise than he did.

But he did his best to make something of himself and honor the God of his understanding. I guess I just see him in a better light, which makes me feel better. I do like some of his music, and worrying about someone's final judgement gets in the way of me living.

I'm wishing I could work--for a long time it's been because I'm just so embarrassed about not working, but also because--darn, I want money. It stinks having to scrape by or even just go with crappy cheap food or none. I can't afford to even send greeting cards--or for a long time I haven't. Today I just did, whatever, it seems to be getting better. eh, belated happy Fourth, I'm a lazy git, did not read your posts.

Yeah.. I know how you feel about feeling lazy while out of work. If you can't afford food ( I'm assuming you are in the US) you can get foodstamps. I lived off them as an Americorps member earlier this year ( Horrid and not a fun experience). I also suggest you look into job hunting sites like Idealist.org or Jobing.com.

As for MJ, sad, but not surprising. The man was messed up, addicted, and enabled to destroy himself by the people around him.

I was just talking with my MPD counsellors today, thinking I could start working soon. Having a multiple personality, not knowing it, messed me up so bad at every job I ever had, and I never knew what was going on, would just find myself quitting after ugly episodes.

Food stampsmight be an option, though, at least for 3 months then you have to take whatever job they offer you, which could be pretty bad. But we'll see, like I say I'm feeling better with really good counseling (Genuine Christians working out really well!).
