Somebody sent me an email saying the animal rescue site was actually having trouble getting people to click on their link to help feed animals in shelters, though it's quick easy and all you do is click, not pay. I know you've seen it before

"It takes less than a minute (How about 20 seconds)
to go to their site and click on the purple box 'fund food for
animals' for free. This doesn't cost you a thing. Their corporate
sponsors/advertisers use the number of daily visits to donate food to
abandoned/neglected animals in exchange for advertising. Here's the
web site! Pass it along to people you know."

They also have 5 other charities to click on, child hunger, child literacy, etc., same idea of just clicking to help.  I'm sure most of you have seen this before, but thought I'd remind you.

I never have much in the way of money, so it's nice to be able to give something.

In other news I walked 3 miles in the basement this a.m., based on the idea of 15 min. being one mile. No treadmill, just the basement is arranged so I can walk through doorways in a large oval. I got started on a big cleaning project I really shouldn't have left undone for so long. But I guess I feel better now. I have been at the library a couple hours and realize I should have been making important phone calls that really need to get made, people are depending on me.

And I haven't looked past the first few entries on my friends page. *Sigh* so it goes, hope I can get back on again tomorrow.

Thanks for bringing that to my attention. I clicked. :~)

I walk on my treadmill 5 days a week in the morning and if not too tired I do it at night. It takes me about 20 minutes to get a mile, and that's a fast pace for me; but..... I'm a tad under 5' tall.

It's weird, because my dad clocked the mileage to my high school at 1.10 miles. I've walked about to the halfway point there, then back, and it's about 25 minutes. So that sort of agrees with the 15 minute theory I've heard. But on a treadmill it seems like it takes a lot longer to get mileage.
