Feb. 14th, 2009 03:46 pmI'm doing things like hug people and my aim is off, we crack heads or my chin hits a shoulder bone. Added to that I think I'm stepping on feet in every direction, only with my mouth, I just can be insensitive. Didn't even realize it. Bad communications with people. Arrrg.
But luckily the what's your word quiz didn't give me "biatchacha" (Snagged from Dazz

There is a huge tree down across the street from the library, wish I had a camera. It would take one and a half or two of my to get my arms around it. The high winds on Wed. knocked it over, it fell across two or three yards and into the street. Luckily rush hour traffic that might have been there was stuck at a red light on the corner about 4 houses up. So no houses or cars hit, amazing.
I worked for Patty cleaning on Fri., made about $10. She also gave me a loaf of bread (Brownberry from the Entenmann's outlet, she got a really good deal), but also some cookies and candy. And we're both talking about trying to lose some weight. That's sometimes the way it goes when you're trying to gear up to lose. I sometimes just can't think clearly. Lol, neither can Patty, she stopped at the bakery, not for bread.
Even a little money is a relief, I just need to spend it wisely. I do have enough food more or less, for now, that is a relief.
Last night, went a benefit concert, some guy at church and friends. The benefit was for Invisible Children, the children in Sudan and Uganda are being abducted to serve as soldiers or sex slaves for the "Lord's Resistance Army", a rebel force in Uganda. The families are desperate. The kids are kidnapped and forced to kill or witness the killing of friends, neighbors, siblings. And they're beaten and threatened with death, forced to kill. I've read about this before, but you just forget about it, you know? I always feel like what can you do, but I usually don't have any money. But there was a collection can right there and I DID have a couple bucks, so yeah.... And I can post the site in my wee bloggie here in case anyone feels they've got some money they don't know what to do with....
I hve been drinking decaf coffee for at least a month now, and it's just weird. I have been a pretty heavy java consumer for a number of years, but listening to someone commenting after an Al-Anon meeting, she said that she was having bone problems resulting in surgery, and quit caffeine because it leaches calcium. I had kind of suspected that, but her comment made me sit up straight, so to speak. Osteoporosis runs in the family, and I've got a dowagers hump going on already, my nails were cracking in the autumns. The lady made the comment that coffee was one of her last indulgences and it made her really sad to lose it. I felt her pain. But bit the bullet.
Well, due to adding just a touch of regular to decaf when I drink it, I've had about 2 or three cups total of regular in a month. But for me that's amazing and for the rest I don't miss it. But I do think moderate consumption of regular has other health benefits, it's good for the liver, helps prevent type 2 diabetes. So it goes....
