afufleI went to my Mom's yesterday, knowing she wouldn't be there, to pack up stuff and put it in boxes. On the way, I went to Walgreen's, bought some popcorn I'd been wanting, and a king sized candy bar I didn't need. I was really schizy--I forgot important stuff, had to go back, then it RAINED, a sudden downpour. I was wearing suede sneakers--I hope they dry okay. Come to think of it, I can wash them and put them in the dryer, don't have to risk mold. I got to Mom's and could barely get any stuff done; well, there was so much junk to sift through. I was supposed to be there all weekend, though. Instead of doing what I should, I watched Black Hawk Down and read Harry Potter. And daydreamed, I guess. Knowing the whole time that I should be moving on that packing. *sigh*
I couldn't believe Jason Isaacs was in BHD. His American accent was okay, just so weird to listen to him that I couldn't think about the acting. Ah, well. Josh Hartnett was good, better than I thought he'd be. I was glad to see Ron Eldard, I just like him for some reason. I don't know the name of the actor who plays the hostage's interrogator, but he was good and made a good point: Somalis are not going to change over to Western-style Democracy when the civil war was over, and there would not be peace in Somalia until there was a victory by one side or the other.
Got more seed, nut & raisin mix at the health food store today, as well as some kiwis. I thought the health food store downtown wasn't going to keep the same products after it went under new management, but their serve yourself goodies are more or less similar in price and product. I like being able to buy .94 cents worth of the raisin, sunflower seed, almond, pumpkin seed and (just a little) cashew mix. Lol, well it beats a candy bar. I really don't need all of that in one day, but I haven't had any in so long, I ate it all. Almost a quarter pound, I think.
I wish I had a place where I could cook like I did at home, not worry about the housemates pots and pans, and the space my stuff would take up, etc. I can't believe I worry so much about what they think of what I eat. Nitwit gal.
