First entry here in forever--I'm reading CS Lewis space trilogy, Out of the Silent Planet, Perelandra and That Hideous Strength, in reverse order. Also, Amy Tan's Saving Fish from Drowning, tho' reading that at the library, between computer sessions.  

GJ is so messed up, you only get notifications in your email, even though you have notices to go to your notices page. They are never there. Also, you used to get 2000 icons--though I've never had more than about 800, which was too many. But unless you make frequent entries or login regularly, they disappear.

It's not their fault, though, it's probably various hackers, worms, viruses. But it drives one a bit nutto!

no... they've taken away a LOT of the good things there. Icons went down to 100 and you weren't given any notification or choice as to which you wanted.

That's why I pretty much left - - i just check up on my flisters and that's it.

Hardknoxfirst recently posted a thing about new methods of spreading worms and viruses and that the red Xs at GJ as well as some of the bugs might be connected to that, & I'm like, hm, might be the problem.

Whatever, it's sad but it's so bad I actually came back here, 15 userpics & all. But I do love GJ, like you I guess, for the friends I have.
