Once upon a time a soap wedding would be splashed across the front of women's magazines from here to breakfast time. The nuptials, invariably described as "the wedding of the year", would be photographed in all their frothy glory with the line "Kim's dream day" or "Inside Sophie's fairytale wedding". No more. Blushing televisual brides have been bumped for actresses who are variously drug addled, too fat, too thin or bad mothers - sometimes all at once.
The big day has arrived for Brad and Sally but all is not well (the groom almost killing the best man will do that.) The grey sky is heavy with portent, although not as heavy as Cassie's bedside psychology session with the dastardly Henk. Prepare yourself for lots of tension and pensive looks, although it's a shame the performers can't cope with the dramatic demands here.
