(no subject)

Woof. St. Teresa Textile Trove sucks. I wanted some simple cotton embroidery floss, but no, they had a little bag of skeins at the ridiculous price of .75 cents each. Anyplace you can get them at 3/$1 and money's as tight now as ever, so no way I was going to get any. Oddly I found a perfectly good, clean embroidery hoop on my way there. No, I hardly ever have embroidered and don't plan to do so now, just needed to darn some socks, but that's a weird coincidence. There is one broken part that needs to be glued, but that won't be difficult.

I've been doing a bit of yard work, which was especially nice since no one else is going to hang over me saying "there's that once thing you still need to do," and no one is going to hassle me or make up a story about how my yardwork ruined the whole yard, or say shewas the one who got all the dandelions out of the back yard by digging them all up, instead of me getting at least half of them.

The cat (Nelson) will probably be going next week, which I can't believe. Nelson is so adorable and a good cat. I love looking after her. I just don't have the money to take care of her, not for food, medical care, whatever. Damn. I love that kitty. :(
