HONK IF YOU'RE VOTING!
Nov. 1st, 2004 01:36 pmOkay, that's what a couple of ladies had on signs they were holding up at a couple streetcorners on the block that holds the main library. If you were walking, you could just yell it out.
Last night I quit answering the phones because Kerry/Edwards people were calling to stump for them. I answered a couple calls, then just figured I was tired of running downstairs to answer. I haven't even plugged in the upstairs phone yet, too lazy & I am not expecting many calls anyway, being in the odd situation I'm in.
I really couldn't afford any candy, and I think hardly any kids were out anyway. People are too cautious anymore, and there are probably many more alternatives now. It seems like it started decades ago with the razor blade in the apple debacle, just one guy doing it to cover up what he's done to his kids. Just like the lady who put cyanide in Excedrin or whatever brand of aspirin it was, to cover up her poisoning of her husband*. All that money and extra concern, etc., because of one stupid nasty person.
After the aspirin poisoning incident every product started getting inner safety seals. It's amazing how loose the packaging used to be for everything before that.
