Aspartame makes my ankles swell
Aug. 12th, 2004 02:25 pmAnd makes me pee like the dickens--it's got to be a diuretic. This is only with 3 diet Cokes in 2 or 3 days. I read somewhere that the manufacturer recommends only one serving a day due to side effects. Nice that they've made that so public, isn't it?
Well, I don't usually drink diet C., but Linda left some. I've had the aspartame experience before, so I know not to keep any around, and only have aspartame products sparingly. Maybe it doesn't do that to everyone, but I know I'm not the only one.
Er, haven't done a thing this week but get on the internet. I need to go to V & C's to get my remaining stuff, and return the library books I left there. Darn, I hope they aren't due, but you never know. I have only one I really want to renew, The Tolkien Companion. There's one interesting one called Kokology, with these scenarios you put yourself in. My brother got one of the scenarios from Junior Achievement. You imagine yourself in a meadow. What time of year is it? You see a path leading into the woods, and you decide to follow it. As you get into the woods, what is the path like: narrow, wide, winding, straight, rocky, indistinct, clear, well travelled, hilly, steep, narrow, leading downhill, uphill, etc.? You look down and you see a cup. What does it look like? Old, new, familiar or not, is it full, partly full, empty, upside down, tilted, rightside up, etc.? You go a bit farther and see a key--describe it. What is it to? Is it old, new, etc. Do you pick up the key and/or cup? You go further and there is a bear. What do you do?
You go farther and see a pond or lake--is it dirty or clean, shallow or deep, etc. Do you go around, wade or swim through, etc.? You get to the other side of it, and see a wall. What does it look like? What is beyond the wall? A house, nothing, what?
Okay, when you've decided your answers, or know what you feel the answers are (the first thought in your head on the subject):
( go here, don't cheat and look before you know the answers )
